Hi there! I’m Sheila and I have a passion for telling stories through photography. I believe that all things are beautiful and my job as a photographer is to find the beauty in everything. And with almost 15 years experience as a professional photographer, I can honestly say that I’ve never had a problem finding beauty in any one person or any one thing – whether it be in a newborn baby, a wild toddler, a high school senior with nothing but their future ahead, or a dysfunctional family. In the “right light”, all things are beautiful and that is my job – TO FIND THE BEAUTY IN EVERYTHING!
As a photographer, I’m also dedicated to help you TELL YOUR STORY FOREVER and to preserve that story. In the digital age which we live in, we have more digital pictures than ever. But I sincerely believe in printed photographs and albums to keep the memories alive. Time is precious and so are the cherished photographs that can always take you back in time to a place you couldn’t get to otherwise.
I strive to give every client the personal attention and the highest level of service they deserve. I only photograph a very limited number of clients/events each week so that I can create high quality, custom photography. My number one goal is to create unique images that tell YOUR story FOREVER. Sheila Hebert Photography is a family owned & operated business. I’m the photographer of course. Jason, my husband, is the groundskeeper, maintenance man, and official prop builder. My sweet daughter, Lori, is my personal session assistant from time to time. I’ve been photographing professionally since 2006 and I’m also a CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER (one of only 5 in the area). I’m also an active member of Professional Photographers of America, Texas Professional Photographers Association, Professional Photographers Guild of Houston, and The Greater East Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce.
Giving back and volunteering to great causes is a big part of who I am. A few closest to my heart are Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep, PPA Charities & Operation Smiles, and anything “military” related.
Because I’m very passionate about my career and photography, I invest a ton of time and energy in numerous photography educational seminars and workshops each year to stay afloat of today’s latest trends and to continue to improve on the fundamentals of photography that never go out of style. Part of my continuing education also involves entering print competitions. Although it is nice to “win”, I don’t enter for the awards and accolades. But the main reason for entering print competitions is for the education and feedback I receive to become a better photographer. Photography is a life long learning process.
