about Sheila

Sheila Hebert Photography strives to give every client the personal attention and the highest level of service they deserve.  Sheila Hebert Photography is not a cookie cutter studio that “shoots” hundreds of people a day or week.  Sheila chooses to only photograph a limited number of clients / events each week.  Our number one goal is to create unique images that tell YOUR story FOREVER.  Don’t worry if you need a little help along the way.  With every session we provide a personal consultation to make your session a great one.

Sheila Hebert Photography is a family owned & operated business.  Sheila has been photographing professionally since 2004 and she is a CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER.  She is also an active member of Professional Photographers of America, Texas Professional Photographers Association, Professional Photographers Guild of Houston, and The Greater East Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce.

Sheila also volunteers and gives back to many charities.  A few closest to her heart are Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep, PPA Charities & Operation Smiles, and anything “military” related.

Because Sheila is very passionate about her career and photography, she invests tons of time and energy in numerous photography educational seminars and workshops each year to stay afloat of today’s latest trends and to continue to improve on the fundamentals of photography that never go out of style.

Random things about me

First things first, I'm not perfect but I always try to live for Jesus and put Him first in my life!!!

-

My favorite restaurant EVER is Jade Palace in Humble, Texas. It just goes to show you can't judge a book by its cover.

-

I’d pick my family over a million dollars! Yep, I love them that much!

-

I’m obsessed with anything related to Marvel Comics! If you talk Avengers or Agents of Shield with me … you’ve got a friend for life.

-

I'm an International, Award-Winning photographer and currently working towards my Master's In Photography. Only 8 more merits to go (way easier said than done)!

-

I married my high school sweetheart -- 22 years & counting - and we have a BEAUTIFUL daughter named Lori.

-

I became a Certified Professional Photographer in 2013 (this is no easy task btw) and spend countless hours a year continuing my photography education to improve my craft.

-

I have a degree in Geology and Science Education from Sam Houston State University.

-

Summer is MY favorite season!

-

I taught middle school science for 10 years - GOD BLESS all the teachers.

-

My dream job would be an Astronaut! An astronaut with a camera of course!!!

-

My most embarrassing moment? 6th grade - had to read a report in front of the class. The topic was extinction. I was so nervous that instead of saying

dodo bird (as in "dough-dough), I said over & over & over ...

"DOO - DOO BIRD"! ACK! As if 6th grade wasn't hard enough!

-

I've been known to be a little "nerdy" at times, but I do embrace it!!!

-

My favorite color is purple and light blue. I can have two, right?

-

My biggest fear...

Forgetting to put film in or forgetting to charge my camera batteries before a big event - I have nightmares about this!

-

I'm a middle child. One older sister & one younger brother. I like to think I'm the favorite;)

-

I've been known to have a very sarcastic sense of humor (can get me in trouble at times). I also seem to laugh when no one else can see the humor;)

-

I love my job as a photographer! Being able to stop time for just a moment and tell your story through my craft, is why I do what I do.

-

Picture day at school was not my favorite - I always found a way to "skip". I couldn't stand how my school pictures looked -- I PROMISE you I'll always make you look your best and always tell the "good side" of your story!

-

I found my calling in photography in 2006 (I've always had a camera, but never considered it anything more than a hobby). But when the "photography bug" bit me there was no turning back. To me - photography is the perfect mix of Art and Science.
