FAQS

What are your studio hours?

Sheila Hebert Photography is open by appointment only.  Our typical hours are Monday – Friday, 10am to 5pm on most weekdays.  Evening and Saturday appointments are available as well, but they are extremely limited and usually reserved for families, weddings, and other events.

Do you have a studio?  Where do sessions take place?

Sheila Hebert Photography’s studio is located in Splendora, Tx on her residential property of 14-acres.  The studio is a separate building and there are 14-acres of man-made & natural scenes available…the best of both worlds!  You can read more about the studio by clicking this link  http://sheilahebert.com/the-studio/

99.9% of all sessions take place Sheila’s studio (indoors and/or outdoor areas).  There is just simply no need to fight the crowds at other “popular” locations when we have it all in one place.  With that said, if you really have a special place in mind or want a totally different look than what I can offer, then we can absolutely schedule a session on the location of your choice.

What do I wear?

When you schedule a session and as a part of your pre-session consultation, you’ll receive a {what to wear} style guide that offers wardrobe inspiration, a few tips & tricks, and I’m always happy to give you advice in choosing your outfits.  The biggest thing to remember is to be yourself and be comfortable.  Also, your clothing should compliment the rooms where wall-portraits will be displayed in your home.  Check out my pinterest boards to get a few visual ideas – click here>>> Sheila’s Board.  Be forewarned though, there are A LOT of boards – just look for the “What to Wear” boards:)

How do we see our pictures after the session?

About a week after your session takes place, you’ll come back to the studio for your “preview & order appointment”.  All preview & order appointments take place in-person and should include everyone who is involved in making decisions.  Only one order appointment is scheduled per session.  At Sheila Hebert Photography we’ve found that this just works best for our clients and allows us to give every person the time & attention they deserve.

Online galleries are impersonal, time-consuming, and can be expensive to host.  In the past when we’ve tried online galleries for convenience, they ended up creating more headaches and taking far too much of your precious time.

If you have family who lives out of town and they would like to purchase, an online gallery of your purchased images can be posted online for them to view following the original ordering appointment.

How long will my session last?

This all depends on the type of session you’re interested in.

Newborn sessions typically last 2-3 hours.  This allows for plenty of breaks for baby and mommy (daddy too).

Baby / Children / Family sessions usually take about an hour.

High Senior sessions can last anywhere from 30 minutes to an all-day excursion!  The most popular session (The Studio Session) takes about an hour or so.

“Quick-take” sessions or mini-sessions (of any kind) normally take about 30-minutes.

Do you offer digital files?

Yes, but I do prefer traditional, professional-printed photographs.  I cringe at the thought of your beautiful images being kept on a CD or USB drive or on a computer that could fail at any time.

Of course, we live in a digital age so I have two digital options available.  The question I ask you is “why do you want the digital files”?  Some want the files just for sharing on social media and some want to do their own printing.  Your answer will determine which digital option is best for you.

  • Single high-resolution files start at 95 per image.
  • Digital collections start at 375.
  • Digital Bragbook / Session App (for social media sharing) start at 125 – *minimum purchase of 250 required.

How much can I expect to spend?

There is no minimum purchase required at Sheila Hebert Photography (with the exception of the “The Break-Away” & “The Excursion” high school senior sessions); however, most people choose to spend anywhere from $500 to $950 on their sessions.  Everyone’s needs are different — some spend a little more and some spend a little less — the choice is yours.  For our clients who choose a “Quick-Take” session or a mini-session, they typically spend less that $500.

Please see the Investment page or use the contact link for more information.

Do you offer a guarantee?

YES!  Your guarantee is that you will be 100% happy with your session and images.  If for any reason you are not happy, then we’ll schedule a “re-session” or refund your entire session fee.  It’s as simple as that!
