Category Archives: mine on monday

Hello there!  Just wanted to give a heads up that my website is currently going through the process of a makeover transformation! EXCITING!!!!

You should be able to still read the blog, check out the galleries, and all the other pages.  But there might be a few glitches here and there. One glitch I’m aware of is the contact links and page – sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t.   So if you’d like to get in touch, please email me directly at info@hebertphoto.com or give me a call at 281-804-3148.

You can also check out my Facebook & Instagram (@sheilahebertphotography) to see what I’m up to and the latest work.

In the meantime, I’ll slowly be working on my website face lift over the next several weeks (in between sessions, editing, ordering, and swim practice lol).  Thanks for being patient!

This is one of my favorite things to do by far…creating my yearly “year in revew” slideshow!  I love seeing and remembering all of the smiling faces from all my sessions & events that I had the pleasure of photographing in the past year.  It reminds me how grateful I am to my clients – THANK YOU ALL for choosing & trusting me to capture your memories!  I hope you enjoy Sheila Hebert Photography’s “2018 ~ Year in Review” and here’s to a HAPPY 2019!

So it’s been awhile since I’ve posted a “Mine on Monday”, but recently I had the chance to do a quick session with my L’s (the L’s stand for Laynee, Laycee, and Lori – my two nieces and my daughter).  It’s been about 4 years since I’ve photographed them in the pumpkin patch and I would say that they’ve grown just a bit!!!  Awww…I love watching them grow into beautiful young ladies, but there is a part of me that would just like to go back in time.

Here’s sneak peek of a personal project I’m working on.  I photographed this with a vision, but the vision is not surfacing as I edit.  So I’m not sure where I’m going with this image???  Sometimes that happens and the vision I had in the beginning just doesn’t work out – sometimes it takes on something completely different than I imagined, sometimes I just scrap it completely.  In this case, I’m not sure if I should switch directions or not just yet.  It’s still a “work in progress”.

By the way, my very handsome model for this was my Army nephew.  He was home on a very short leave before heading off to his next post.  He’s been overseas for a year and now we’re just glad to have him back of US soil!!!  This was taken on the day we had to send him back:(  But I’m so happy he made time to sit for me.  Thanks SeanE!  Love you!

I hope you all had a great time trick or treating last Friday!  We did and got tons of candy.  Lori’s not much of a candy eater (thankfully), but I am…my dentist will be so happy at my next check up:)

Below are a few images of my “little witch” & “Meow Meow” her new kitty … this was not her Halloween costume, but I couldn’t resist doing this.  Do you want to guess what Lori was for Halloween???  If you guessed Elsa from Frozen you were RIGHT!!!  And she made the cutest little Elsa ever.  I was Olaf…I love all things WARM!  Jason…well, we wanted him to be Sven (the reindeer from Frozen) but that didn’t work out as planned.  So he just turned out to be some sort of Amish guy – lol!
